Trees for Life has been part of a partnership that worked with Deciding Matters on a locally contentious proposal to translocate beavers to a new part of Scotland.  We needed a process that would allow everyone's views to be heard and lay the ground for establishing positive relationships for the future.  We were really impressed with how Deciding Matters approached the many challenges involved in this task, showing their experience and professionalism to maintain a fair and open process. They were consistent when difficult issues came up and demonstrated real sensitivity as they brought stakeholders together to discuss people's different perspectives. They worked extremely hard to meet the timescale we'd agreed without compromising on the quality of experience they offered to everyone who engaged with them.  We are very impressed with the impact Deciding Matters has had in engaging a broad range of views, ensuring people feel heard and enabling a discussion to seek collaborative solutions.
